Baldwin Woods Preserve

14080 Range Line Road near Weston

Baldwin Woods is located on Euler Road, between Range Line Road and Potter Road. The 124-acre parcel is comprised of approximately one-half grassland, formerly farmland, and one-half near virgin black swamp woods. The acquisition of this property is of great importance to the Park District due to the fact that the features of the land provide one of the few true representations of the natural heritage of Wood County.

Baldwin Wetland

In an effort to save the natural features of this parcel, plans for the acreage will be limited and focus mostly on land management. Hunting is permitted on the property by permit only on designated days by a limited number of registered hunters as stipulated by the Wood County Park District. Permits are distributed by the Park District.

September - October, there is no hunting Sunday-Wednesday. November - January, there is no hunting on Sunday. The public can be assured of safely visiting the Preserve on Sundays.

For a hunting information packet and application, visit the Hunting Page. For any other questions about Baldwin Woods, please contact the Park District Headquarters at (419)353-1897 or toll-free (800) 321-1897 in Wood County. Please note that the deadline for hunter registration is September 1 each year. If that deadline has passed, hunters may call to be put on the hunter mailing list for next year. Hunting packets are generally mailed out at the beginning of August.
